Moving Forward:
The first two years

After being diagnosed in Feb 2010 and having a Mastectomy with immediate Reconstruction followed by Chemo and Radiotherapy I really needed something to look forward to. My husband booked me on the Trek Peru for BCC April 2011. I had an amazing time and met some amazing people. Its something positive I taken out of my journey. I still have work to be done on my reconstruction but try to look positively ahead.

We've produced a 30-minute film for anyone who’d like to know more about living healthily after primary breast cancer. The film features a range of people talking about how they've changed their lifestyles after treatment, and made eating well and being active a part of their everyday routine. The film also includes tips from diet and exercise experts. Order the free DVD or view the film online. If you're feeling adventurous you can follow in the footsteps of Sarah - as well as our celebrity supporters Fearne Cotton and Denise Van Outen who trekked to Machu Picchu for Breast Cancer Care - and sign up for one of our fundraising treks.
