Moving Forward:
Two to three years on

I was diagnosed just before Christmas 2008. Grade 3 ,70mm invasive ductal carcinoma with 2 axillary lympe nodes positive. I was petrified.

I am a BRCA1 gene carrier. Other family members had already lost their lives to breast cancer. I went on the most amazing journey. I traced my mother’s family to forwarn them and ended up in South Africa!

My research has bought so much happiness. It has been my way forward. I now have lots of incredible people in my life. They are my strength.  One relative in South Africa is healthy 10 years after diagnosis.
